01.06.2026 – Software Update 3.23

KESS3 has expanded its support for Continental SIMOS18.X engine control units, commonly found on 1.8L and 2.0L EA888 TSI/TFSI turbocharged petrol engines produced from 2010 onwards.

In addition to the already available OBD and BOOT programming methods, users can now access these ECUs through BENCH mode, allowing direct communication via the ECU connector without the need to open the control unit.

This new functionality provides workshops and tuning professionals with a faster and more efficient programming solution, ideal for both ECU repairs and performance tuning applications.

The introduction of BENCH mode offers greater flexibility when working with a wide range of VAG Group vehicles, from compact performance models to premium SUVs, while ensuring a stable, safe, and repeatable programming process.
