Do you want to improve the power of your car? Have you decided to take advantage of tuning services? How do you choose the right tuning center?

Dyno tests go hand by hand with tuning services and below we will give you a bit of an inside of what to expect when visiting a tuning center.

Before any modifications are made to your vehicle, it’s advisable to check its current condition. Often, due to a specific problem in the car, it may not report its full horsepower. Therefore, it’s wise to conduct a dyno test before any software manipulations. If the result is satisfactory, you can proceed with the desired interventions. Of course, after the software power increase, the car must undergo another dyno test to verify the exact horsepower and torque achieved.

At Carhack.net, we have one of the best dynos on the market, namely the MAHA LPS 3000. It can easily measure all types of light vehicles, including those with 4x4. MAHA dynos are renowned for their high precision in measurements and are used by automotive giants such as Porsche, Toyota, and BMW M Power.

Our specialized dyno room is equipped with all the necessary accessories to ensure perfect conditions for measuring your vehicle. One of the most important features is the cooling system, which helps maintain a low temperature to avoid measurement errors due to overheating. And let’s not forget that safety comes first. That’s why, during the measurement, your vehicle will be secured at least at four anchor points with special belts for that purpose.

How does the MAHA LPS 3000 actually work?

The MAHA LPS 3000 is a brake dynamometer that differs from inertia ones, as the vehicle moves against the brake rollers, to which a force sensor is attached to measure the load. Another sensor measures the speed of the shaft. By measuring the force and speed, we obtain the data for power. After reaching peak power, the clutch is disengaged, and the vehicle begins to "coast down." During this "coast down," the dynamometer measures the power loss, which is then added to the power at the wheels to show the power at the crankshaft (PEng), proven time and again to be an accurate measurement method.

Important! Successful dyno tests require attention and can be time consuming. Due to high workload, Carhack.net only runs tests on cars for which we have performed chip tuning.

Carhack.net does not offer dyno tests as a standalone service.
