Continental SID212 ECU is now supported in Bench mode with KESS3
11.03.2026 – Upgrade 2.96
Alientech continues to expand the capabilities of the KESS3 platform with the release of a new protocol for Continental SID212 ECUs.
Used for years in many diesel applications, including Ford 2.0 EcoBlue engines, SID212 ECUs are among the most requested solutions for workshops specialising in ECU calibration and electronic programming.
With this update, Continental SID212 ECUs can now be managed in Bench mode directly with KESS3, allowing professionals to work on the ECU in their own workshop without sending it to external services for unlocking or preparation.
This brings clear advantages for daily work:
• greater operational autonomy
• faster processing times
• no additional cost per ECU
Once the ECU is connected in Bench mode, the operator can proceed directly with Virtual Reading and writing operations using Alientech Suite.
The protocol is already available for both Master and Slave users with KESS3 CAR-LCV Boot & Bench activation and an active subscription.
A further step in Alientech’s direction
With this release, Alientech confirms its vision of providing workshops with tools that allow them to work more independently, efficiently and with greater operational control — without unnecessary complications or hidden costs for each job.
Support for Continental SID212 perfectly follows this approach, offering professionals a practical and immediate solution aligned with the real needs of the market.
The protocol is already available in Alientech Suite together with the dedicated technical documentation.
